Ménilmontant (France, 1926) is a silent film written, directed, and produced by Dimitri Kirsanoff. For its time, this film was a big breakthrough in cinema. Everyone who watches this film will notice the interesting editing and effects that are used in cinema even now.

This film was painful to watch because 3 members of my mothers family died in Treblinka and Sobibor. This piece had me cry and somehow understand the whole tragedy of the Shoah. He is playing for his life here. Wonderful Frédéric Chopin❤
